Lift Logic

Crane capacity calculator

Tell us the load, working radius and lift height — we’ll recommend the lightest crane class that covers the job, with required hook capacity and boom envelope for planning.

Tip: choose restricted-access or tandem duty for confined factories, dual-crane work, or low-emission installs — the same constraints seen on the Cheetah Crane project.

How it works

We name the crane class, not just the tonnes

Gross load (including tackle) is factored for duty and ground conditions, then checked against simplified hire-fleet capacity envelopes at your working radius — with boom geometry for height. The lightest class that fits is the recommendation.

1. Gross the load

Payload plus hook-block / below-hook gear allowance.

2. Apply site factors

Duty profile and ground/outrigger conditions raise the required capacity.

3. Recommend a crane

We pick the lightest chart envelope that covers radius, height and required hook capacity — e.g. 70t mobile or 130t all-terrain.
